1. Hazardous Doodie Pay

We left a young adult in charge of the house and 3 dogs while we traveled for a few days. And one of our dogs had a stomach issue that caused multiple bouts of diarrhea throughout. The dog sitter, surprisingly, had a “Sh!+ Happens” attitude about the whole mess. Despite her understanding, we added a Hazardous Doodie bonus to her pay.

2. Hazardously Close

Any advice on how one puts golf clubs back in the trunk given this below par park job?

No joke—I couldn’t fit a gap wedge between there.

3. There’s a New Sheriff in Town

Has anyone else noticed that The Weather Channel added some sunshine to their forecasting? Personally, I love it!

5. The Customer Comes First

I work multiple jobs in the customer service industry and the saying goes:

“When the customer comes first, the customer will last.” – Robert Half

Twice in the last month, I found my inner voice on repeat muttering these words to myself while listening to Customer Chewbacca snap gum for 10 minutes on a Sunday and the Earl of Unfairway Expectations rail me on a Monday.

The customer may come first in the workplace, but I—admittedly patting myself on the back—deserve the Nobel Prize in Restraint!

P.S. There was a saving grace in the form of other rational souls—the gentlemen that overheard the Earl told me that he was a jerk after his departure and that they would have come to my defense if I hadn’t handled it so well on my own.

6. Stuck in a Decision Tree

At our last campsite, I went to hang a hammock and found myself in option overload mode:

7. Just Your Average Weekday

  1. Morning coffee is serenaded by tornado sirens.
  2. Interstate traffic includes a tank.
