Civic Duty ✅

And despite what I said about my vote being for sale, it wasn’t…and not just because neither party bit on my offer.

2. Trifecta

The time that there were 3 technicals on the floor in an NBA game and they went to Williams, Williams and Williams of Oklahoma City.

3. The Blue Collar Blues

When one part-time job schedules you to open (6-9 AM) and the other part-time job schedules you to open and close (9:30 AM – 7:30 PM) and thus, it is dark when you arrive and dark when you leave.

4. Exhibit A

The day you realize how many people in your life seem to outright question your life decisions.

AND THEN LATER THAT SAME DAY THINK:

You know what I miss in my life?

Video games!

I think I should buy myself a game console for Christmas.

Or, maybe sooner.

Like tomorrow.

5. Soup Nazi

I was inspired to make this soup and here are my notes.

1. Turmeric roots aren’t as easy to find as the article implies.
   1. And substituting turmeric powder stains everything—utensils, Tupperware, measuring cups, etc.
      1. And clothing. RIP hooded sweatshirt.
2. If you shop at Sam’s Club, whole chickens come in two packs and you will decide to make two batches and give some away to friends with upcoming surgeries, a friend with a birthday, etc.
   1. Your refrigerator will be beyond capacity between the time that you grocery shop and the time that you make the soup.
3. It takes an annoyingly significant amount of time to grate that many vegetables.
   1. And I forgot about the zucchini so had less vegetables to grate.
      1. The zucchini (in bulk) is still cluttering my refrigerator.
         1. And that grates me.
4. Straining the broth can be a challenge when your two biggest stockpots contain the broth that needs to be strained.
5. Near the end of the “this took way too long’ process”, when it says “taste and adjust salt as needed”, it means to add a lot of salt because it tastes like there is none.
6. When you spray Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray onto turmeric stained kitchenware, what started as a cooking experiment turns into science class and that makes you wonder if you should consume what you just toiled over.
7. The soup itself is good (8/10) and I suppose worth the effort but I’m possibly only saying that now because the effort is behind me.

I was at an appointment and for the first time in my life, heard this:

7. Walkaholic

I walk with this friend,

and that friend,

and a few others on the side.

Which makes me wonder —

should I commit to just one

or keep walking around on them all?
