My friend need not be engaged in a “battle” for the nearest parking spot at her school. The lady actually got out of her car and stood behind my friend’s car so that she could not continue backing up.

And another day, the lady parked at a 45 degree angle such that her car took up two spaces. And then she straightened it out after my friend arrived and parked a few spots further away.

My friend “won” one day by parking an hour early and then having her boyfriend pick her up for a coffee date.
