Mission Control

Mission:

Carry no more than 10 ongoing missions at a time.

Wellness Why(s):

Emotional Well-Being: My capacity to think and execute said missions taps out at 10.

The Nuts & Bolts:

I currently have 20 missions in progress.

21 if you include this mission.

And that’s too many to manage.

And I have mission ideas that I’d like to add—2027 Scout Mountain Ultra, goals that I have for the athletes that I coach (through my occupation and private training), trying out for Olympic Flag Football, focusing on connection with friends and family, writing a book, continuing to par down our belongings—and thus, I need to execute or execute half of the open missions.

For starters, I’m done with The 50K in May Byway. The mission was prep for the North Fork Ultra this past weekend. I didn’t reach my training goal—so the mission gets a big fat ❌—but I finished the race, which makes it a win overall.

We can wrap this up also (and I actually did take a break from 6 of these 8 things).

And I will keep dwindling down until only 10 remain, which will leave only 9 (because this mission will be complete), which will open up a slot for one of the missions that is currently on deck.
