Save Face

Mission:

Given the title of this post, one could assume that I am setting out to restore my dignity following a major failure or humiliation….and let’s be honest….they exist and the need is there.

But, this title merely refers to my goal to:

Preserve thy Face for the Long Game

The Nuts & Bolts:

Skincare

After researching, I collected various facial products with this goal in mind.

I then took a picture of said facial products and asked ChatGPT to build me an exact weekly routine.

And luckily, I’m pretty good at following instructions at this point in my life (with only some dependence on who is giving them of course).

Eyes

I recently purchased new contacts with an up-to-date prescription.

I will purchase a new pair of glasses with the up-to-date prescription. And likely low dose readers. And possibly sunglasses—I’ve always gone hat, and never sunglasses, but mostly because I’ve never found a pair of sunglasses that don’t make my small head appear as a fly with bulging eyes when sunglasses are donned.

Nose

See an ENT (see here for more on that).

Mouth

Snag the water flosser that ISN’T BEING USED by our daughter and USE IT myself.

And floss daily (does anyone ever actually do this after stating they are going to do this?).

And use the teeth whitening toothpaste in hopes that the active ingredients haven’t aged to the point of inactive and with the secondary benefit of decluttering.

Update On:

When you face the facts that this face is aging, yes—but under watchful management.
