To Whom It May Concern and FWIW,*

  • I NEEDED for my husband to inform me of a spelling error in one of my posts. 😘
  • I DIDN’T NEED for my husband to inform me of a spelling error in one of my posts. 😡
  • I NEED for my husband to be okay with the fact that, NO, he cannot win. 🤣
  • You’ve probably overheard the popular sports idiom, Every Point Counts? If so, you need to know that this isn’t actually the case. Madison Keys made 89 unforced errors (that’s nearly 4 sets worth of free points) against Renata Zarazua in the first round of the U.S. Open and ALMOST WON THE MATCH! Keys set a record for unforced errors in an open era match and ONLY 1 OF THOSE POINTS COUNTED (she made an unforced error on the final point).
    • In other words, for all of you that miss an occasional return or sail a volley into the grandstands, the coach in me needs you to know….

NOT EVERY POINT COUNTS

Been there, done that. And so has Madison Keys; 89 times in one match.
  • Given my attempt to become a sports writer, perhaps I need to expound upon the previous passage?!? #comingsoon #dreambig (see Feature Photo)
  • I needed to have found this Fit Foundry 4-in-1 Heat & Massage Recovery Pack for Relief on sale at Sam’s Club because….
    • ….the cupping device alone has served as a replacement for the physical therapist that I no longer see.
      • BUT, I needed to have read the instructions BEFORE using the device the first time around BECAUSE I didn’t know where the release button was and the suction about killed me!
    • ….the cupping and/or joint device MAY help my husband’s left and/or right knee pain.
    • …..the back device vibration may not be of any actual benefit, but the warmth warms me.
    • ….I needed more clutter in my life because I’ve been getting rid of some and “perish the thought” that we make progress too fast on that front.
  • I needed to have found the book, When Less Becomes More, by Emily Ley, in the Little Free Library up the street because my life feels more and more like the more side of that coin (see ☝️).

less is MORE

ASK ADRIAN MANNARINO IF YOU’D LIKE; HE AGREES.
(he strings his racquet at 22 lbs 😲)
  • I needed to have had a full blown therapy session with ChatGPT from the comfort of my own couch. #helpful #free #encouraging
    • But, I needed not to have hit my free plan limit when I still had questions on my mind. 😂 #time’supjackkj

5 Star Review for Therapist Anita Help (ChatGPT 🤖)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Thank you for sharing that—this adds an important layer.”

“It can feel like you’re up against a wall.”

“Here are some gentle but realistic thoughts for your situation…”

“That’s a deep and valid need.”

  • I need to apply the knowledge that I have as a certified ISSA Nutritionist to my OWN life. Seriously, dumba$$ 🙋‍♀️….

Q: How many nutritionists does it take to figure out that dehydration can cause headaches?

A: More than 1 when that 1 is me!

  • I needed to not react adversely (and by that I mean, throw up 🤮) to NON ALCOHOLIC beer! WTF?
    • If the above mentioned hydration problem that I seem to have was a contributing factor, I need to know why drinking a liquid that is 90-95% WATER isn’t a step in the right direction?
    • And for the record, you need to know that my throw up was not green per the above emoji (the incident did not happen on St. Patrick’s Day).

I appreciate your readership. I need the validation as writer; if there is a like or heart icon for you to depress, I’d most appreciate the support!

Sincerely,

K.J. Sculling

* The content is presented as “needs”, and some of them may front a harsh reality that evoke strong emotions. Others are expressed in pure jest to entertain myself (and maybe you?!?). Ultimately, the notion that we all live in a more idyllic world is at the core and not actual need. Life can be tough; regardless of your own circumstances, please keep up the fight because life can also be grand! The idea of ‘I Need…’ stemmed from my thought process while sitting at a red light listening to the song, Alright by Darius Rucker, on the radio (you can read the original ‘Idealist’ post here and all ‘Idealist’ posts here). If you’re inspired to submit your own ‘Idealist’ “needs” for future reader write-in posts, I’d love to hear from you via this form.
